Recreational Activities:

Introduction

Whether it is a trip to the zoo, playing a musical instrument, abseiling, attending a West End musical or stepping into our amazing Christmas party in a glittering ballroom - all our activities are designed to help children and young people with a visual impairment develop confidence and self-esteem, but most of all to have fun!

Recreational Activities

The National Blind Children's Society organises a programme of activities giving parents/carers the opportunity to meet other families of children with visual impairment and their siblings to share experiences while taking part in well-planned activities.

These include:

  • Family weekends, a programme of activity days throughout the country for children and young people with their parents or carers
  • A children’s Christmas party
  • A one-week holiday in the National Blind Children’s Society specially adapted mobile home on an award-winning seaside holiday park in Somerset.
