I am a parent of a small baby girl who has just been registered partially sighted and am not sure what it means?
We have an information sheet explaining the registration system and also what benefits you may be entitled now that she has been registered.
We have just received been told our child has a visual impairment and would like to find out about who we need to contact for support, advice and information?
This must be a very difficult time for you and parents can feel very isolated and bewildered. We can support you through this difficult time for example: We offer a listening and counselling service which is backed up by information and linking service. Many parents are relieved when they link up with us and often call us as new concerns and issues arise.
If I require information about Disability living Allowance and Carer's Allowance for our child with a visual impairment, can you help us?
Yes we can. We provide information about what benefits you may be entitled to and also have a guide to completing the forms. The application forms for these benefits are quite complicated and parents often need us to help them complete the forms.
Do you provide information about different eye conditions affecting children?
