Educational Advocacy:

Educational Advocacy Introduction

Educational AdvocacySome children with a visual impairment are lucky enough to live in areas where they receive high-levels of support with education, but many children are not so fortunate and the provision is patchy.

Our Education Advocates support parents and mediate with schools, colleges and Local Education Authorities (LEA’s) to ensure that children and young people’s needs are properly assessed and met. The independent nature of our service is welcomed by parents and the professionals we work alongside.
