- Ascertaining a way forward of who and what needs to be involved and what action that may need to be taken
- Asking for permission to set up details on our client database
- Filling in pro formas of personal details ascertained in a friendly informal way

We research new avenues and can arrange meetings at home with the child if necessary to:
- Acquaint ourselves with the child
- Ascertain, if possible, their viewpoint
- Assess the situation
- Assess informally the child’s functioning, if necessary
