Corporate:

Company Involvement

Gift or Service in Kind

Many of the most successful partnerships with businesses transpire when a company donates gifts or service in kind.

These can range from the obvious to the obscure. For example;

Gifts

These can be used as prizes for major events; goody bag items or auction prizes. So whether you would like publicity or feedback on a new product talk to us.

  • End of line products
  • Equipment
  • Promotional product
  • Big Prize Item – Car / Holiday
  • Use of your premises for a corporate reception

Services

When NBCS plan an event there are services that they have to use. As a charity it is essential to keep costs down as much as possible. Therefore, donation of services is one of the key ingredients to holding successful fundraising events.

Loan of Equipment - i.e. PA system or exhibition area.

Time - i.e. Entertainer, Photographer or Security Personnel.

Media Support.

Portaloos to scaffolding services.

Manned Refreshment stands to Beauty Treatments.

Helium to Floral Displays.

Even if at first glance you feel that your business has little to offer us, think again you may be amazed!

Charity of the Year

Many companies chose to support a charity or a number of charities for an entire year. Most of these companies have recognised the importance of having a charity partner. We at The National Blind Children’s Society would like to be that partner.

We listen and understand what is important to your company and will work with you to tailor make a suitable and fun campaign.

By choosing NBCS as your charity partner, your company could help make a real difference to the children we support.

Brand Association and Cause Related Marketing

These are amazing tools with which to promote your business. Whether you are aiming to expand your client list or to enhance your image these are options worth investigating.

Every partnership is different: Advertising; Mail shots with inserts; Corporate Functions; an abseil down your building, the list is endless. Just think how far your PR and Marketing budget can stretch working with a charity partner!

The best ideas are the ones that arise through talking about what each company is aiming to do in the future. Sometimes, there is an activity or project that both the company and the charity can work on together.

So let’s meet for a coffee and discuss opportunities...

Affinity Schemes

Affinity Schemes, for many companies, are the most cost-effective way to promote and sell their products whilst enhancing their brand image.

In most cases companies will sell a product at a fixed price and the consumer is informed that a percentage of the sale price will be donated to the charity.

The result is increased sales and public goodwill for the company and funds for the charity.

Staff Initiatives and Match Funding

Many businesses believe it should be down to the individual to decide on their own charity and will support their employee’s choices instead of the company choosing one or several charity/charities to support throughout the year.

Staff Can

Ask to Give As You Earn (GAYE) through your payroll.

Organise a fundraising day or arrange a collection on World Sight Day.

Participate in a sponsored event (hyperlink to main Challenge Events page).

Volunteer their time at one of NBCS’ events.

Companies Can

Arrange for donations to be collected tax-free through their payroll (Give As You Earn – GAYE). Currently, there are government grants for companies wishing to facilitate the scheme.

Match Fund the monies raised by their employees, for example, if an employee raises £500 through sponsorship the company matches it.

Cover your team fundraising story in your newsletters. This can help raise funds, profile and public goodwill towards all parties.
